well the most shocking part is when I heard they used to hit kids and make them sit on nedels.Today we saw Mr. Shevel act like peter Stuyverson it was really funny.
What I thought was most surprising was the way they spelled words: like instead of saying your they use the words ~ thou, & instead of using the word the, they would use the words~ thy!!! So this was what was really surprising to me & it was also really, really interesting!!!!!!
The dutch were more worried about the english than the native americans but they had war with the native americans but still the dutch were still afraid of the english.
because we have 2 be ducth 4 one hole day and it hard we are 4th grade's trying 2 be dutch so 4 u people never ever say Ducth is good because it was hard 4 some people so if u know how a ducth feel back then but some kids think it fun so when u go 2 4th grade u will know how it feel but if u had ducth day u know people how it feels
What I learned, that was interesting was that Henry Hudson sailed ( what is now the Hudson river ) the North river. And when he got to North America he traded silverware for beaver furs, to make money.
What has been interesting to me is that it was not fair that for the Dutch took over New York from the Native Americans. If I was on of the Native Americans I would have fought them until I was dead.

The most interesting part today was when I walked in because it was so new
that would have to be the like the pin char and the donky sign too.

,too.I noticed New Amsterdam is a big city.

It was hard because the girls have to sit on pin chair and the boys need to hold heavy books
What was surprising to me was that children had the meanest punishments. For example girls sat on pins and boys held three heavy books on a chair.
It was amazing how a city turned in to the prefect city in u.s.a what was amazing was the history.

The most interesting part of studying new Amsterdam is about the Dutch.
it is bad because it you did one thing bad
you get punished and even when you do something by mistake you get punished.

I really liked the part when we were writing with Quill pens. I am use to writing in scriped so it was fun and really easy!!!!!!!!
