Dutch Day!
Hey! On April 7, PS116 fourth graders had Dutch Day!!! Dutch Day is when the kids dress up like Dutch children and experience how the school day of Dutch students was. It was SO much fun! Even though the consequences were bad, it was still fun experiencing the time! Also, at the end of the day, we had a great Dutch feast! but, during the day, we had to call our teacher Vrouw, if they were a lady, and Miner, if they were a man. We even got to try the punishments! Thats how fun Dutch Day was!

Why were the consequences bad? And what were the punishments? Why do you have a dutch day? I saw an earlier post about New Amsterdam but am not familiar with much about it. You need to make a longer post with more details for your out of state/country visitors who want to know more.
